The History of the Estate

After short studies in Avize (in Champagne) and Beaune (in Burgundy), I joined the Family estate and worked a few years with our business partners. In 1996, I took over the management of the Estate founded by my Grandfather (in 1930) and developped by my father.

Nestled in the heart of the Marne Valley, 15km from Epernay, our whole vineyard is located on the left Bank. Our Terroir is meanly composed of clay and sand on chalky subsoil.

In 1996, When I am in charge of the estate, together with my brother-in-law, Jean-Marc Laisné, we aim for focusing on the diversity of each plot of our vineyard. This is leading us to our first single plot cuvées, Les Genevraux and Brisefer, in 1999.

In the Vineyard

Our estate is meanly planted with Pinot Meunier and is spread accross 40 plots. We do not use any herbicide and we labour mecanically our soil. From the 15th of June, We let the grass grow naturally and we keep it until the end of the following winter.

We fight against deseases by using dedicated mesures such as disbudding, careful training and early leaf-stripping (on the sun exposed side).

We are extra careful on the plant selection, often coming from old vines.



We were among the first estates to obtain the HVE3 certificate (Agronomical way). Meaning that we reduce the use of chemicals and we develop and respect the biodiversity.

An extra touch of soul

When working in the Vineyard or in the winery, it is the Human’s choice that really matters.
This is the reason why we are willing to work with skilled professionnals. Our regular team of 9 are pruning, disbudding, training vines, driving all sorts of tractors...
We take a great care of our team of harvesters : we train them, shelter them and feed them.

We adapt ourselves to nature, to the diversity of seasons and vintages. We aim to obtain the best of it with the lowest impact.
