As is typical for the Champagne region, our domaine has lots of small, separate plots. At least 42 fields divided between the villages of Mareuil-le-Port, Oeuilly and Troissy, on 14ha of Vineyard. We have a wide variety of exposures, geology and grape varieties. Our vines are planted at many different altitudes and have a wide range of ages. This creates many nuances which express themselves in our wines.
We are located on the left bank of the Vallée de la Marne, at the crossing point of the Flagot river. Our vines are growing on clay and sandy vein at mid-slope (120m of altitude).
We are a group of 17 Domains located throughout the Champagne region. The association, Les Artisans du Champagne, is founded upon the basic values of sharing, passion, respect, rigor, freedom and a common vision of our profession and the responsibilities that it implies.
We organize an Annual Tasting in the month of April to showcase our products and to allow professionals, both from France and abroad, to discover the diversity of our terroirs and the expression of the Champagne region through tastings of “Vins Clairs” from single vineyards and also Champagne wines with strong identities.

Chardonnay vines from the bottom of a gentle slope (1:20), planted between 1966 and 1992. An East orientation with clay soil which has leeched out most of its limestone.
Our grandfather, pioneer of grower champagne, saw that this was a perfect plot for champagne and used it for his top of the range wine. About a quarter of the land was replanted in spring 2015.
Production methods respect biodiversity (Working the ground and allowing grass to grow between the vines).
The wines are fully aged on the lees,in 200L, 300L and 500L barrels and clarified by natural settling, without filtration or fining.
Old-vine Meunier planted on a gentle north-eastern slope in Troissy. Leeched clay soil (very little sandstone remaining).
Very small yields.
We often use this plot for the production of our red coteaux champenois and since 2011 for the production of an “Oeil de Perdrix” wine.

When only one grape variety is planted in a particular plot then the underlying terroir of that plot is masked by the inherent characteristics of that grape.
By having multiple varieties of grape we allow the terroir full freedom of expression.
The wines are fermented and aged on lees, in oak barrels. Wild yeasts.
These old chardonnay vines are half-way up the slope, in the heart of our terroir, only 100m away from our home village of Cerseuil.
The grapes were hand-picked at the end of the harvest.
This wine has been aged for 23 months on the lees in 200L and 300L barrels.
